One corridor, two climates
Cincinnati and Dayton are not the same job
It is fifty miles up I-75 and it genuinely changes how a system should be specified.
- Dayton runs colder. A colder winter design temperature means a heat pump leans harder on backup heat, which shows up on the bill rather than the invoice.
- Cincinnati has older housing. Hills, basements and homes built long before central air. Ductless is often the right answer rather than a compromise.
- The middle is newer. Mason, West Chester and Springboro are mostly modern homes with real ductwork, which is where efficiency upgrades actually deliver.
- Butler County is industrial. Middletown and Hamilton bring more commercial rooftop and refrigeration work than the rest of the corridor.
